I am fortunate to say hello to you through this letter. My name is Pedro Mejia Gonzalez, and I am 8 years old. Before telling you more about my life, I thank you so much for reading my information. Fortunately, I am in good health. I attend school as a second grader on the morning shift. After classes, I usually help my grandfather to work in the field. I live with my grandparents because my mother traveled to the United States a few years ago. Fortunately, everybody is in good health. At the moment, I have just one brother. My grandparents are in charge of covering our needs and expenses. My grandfather works as a farmer and my grandmother is a housewife and raises domestic animals. As for my mom, let me tell you that she only occasionally helps us economically or phones us. This is because she has another family in that country.
My family and I grow corn and beans at home; my grandparents take half of the harvest to sell. We also raise hens and a few cows to sell. Please pray for our well-being and spiritual life. At the moment, we do not attend church. My grandparents used to attend church about four years ago. Therefore, a teacher of the LW evangelism team shared the gospel with my grandmother. She was grateful to the teacher for the advice. She trusts Jesus is her Savior because she welcomed him many years ago. Let me tell you that LW has blessed my brother and me with delicious food. This is a valuable help for my family. I love having fried chicken for lunch at the feeding program. Besides that, I enjoy celebrating Christmas in the project because the staff and missionaries give me a lovely gift and a tasty snack. I say goodbye to you now, but I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Warm hugs,
Pedro Mejia Gonzalez
