My Story

Hello! This is Rosi Mejia Gonzalez, and it is a pleasure to write you this letter. My family and I are fine. We are not attending a church yet, so LW Evangelism team shared the gospel with us, and we are grateful for their words. My father is Salvador Mejia, and he is in good health. He works as a farmer and day laborer to support us. My mother is Santos Gonzalez, and she is in good health too. She is a housewife and raises domestic animals to sell. We are a humble family, and our needs are groceries. We have hens and cows at home, and we grow corn and black beans for our consumption.

I will turn 11 on September, and I am in 4th grade this year. I like attending school and receiving face-to-face classes. It has been difficult for my parents to support me with my studies due to our low resources. I want to become a teacher when I am older, and I would like to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect most. I get excited when it is my birthday, and I like sharing this special day with my family. I love drinking “arroz en leche” (hot drink made from rice, cinnamon and milk), and I enjoy playing basketball. My favorite celebration is Christmas because people do different activities. Living Water is very important for me, and I get so happy when it is the day to attend the feeding program; you are also important in my life. I wish you the best in life.

With much love

Rosi Mejia Gonzalez
