My Story

I greet you fondly, hoping in the Lord you are doing well. I am Anthony Alexander Merida Lopez, and I want to share with you a little about my life and family. By the grace of God, I am a healthy 12-year-old boy. I attend school as a sixth-grader on the morning shift. On weekends, I like playing soccer with my friends. My favorite food is fried chicken. I am glad because my father was released from prison a few months ago. Today, he makes a living as a security guard to survive and support our family economically. Luckily, he is doing well. I want to open my heart and tell you that my parents separated recently. I would like us to live all together as a family again. So, I beg you to pray for this intention. While my father works, my grandmother takes care of my brother and me. We love her so much because she always cared for us so that my mom could go to work. As for my mom, let me tell you that she does not live with us. Despite her diabetes, she is doing well and makes a living by selling second-hand clothes, shoes, and hygiene products. She sometimes visits and brings us clothes or hygiene products. She tries to phone us frequently in order to keep in touch with my brother and me.

My grandmother and I still attend the Holocaust for the King Christian Church. I welcomed Jesus into my heart when I was 8 years old. I want you to know that LW-Adopt A Child has been a great blessing for my family and me. For instance, a member of the LW staff encouraged us to continue trusting and believing that God has the control of our lives. Besides spiritual support, I can receive food for free and have medical and dental care. I enjoy celebrating Christmas at the feeding program because I can receive a nice gift and the missionaries and staff treat me with love and kindness. I say goodbye to you now, but I would like to hear from you soon.

Best wishes,

Anthony Alexander Merida Lopez
