This is David Chiquita Calachij, and I am writing this to update my 2023 information. First, I will tell you about my family. We are still members of Assembly of God Church, and we attend the service on Tuesday. We have accepted Jesus as our personal Savior. We have hens, dogs and a pig at home, and we grow corn too. We are a humble family, and our greatest need is groceries. My mother’s name is Anita, and she is 31 years old. She works as a farmer and goes to work in the coffee plantations at the coast for four months. I want to ask you to pray for my mother because she is suffering from strong headaches and is not taking medicine for it due to our economic situation. I want to share with you some sad news. Recently, I found out that my biological father passed away, and it is something sad for me.
Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 10 years old, and I am healthy. I am in 3rd grade, and I am happy to receive face-to-face classes because I learn more. It has been difficult for my mother to support me with my studies because she is the only one who covers all our needs. I want to become a day laborer when I am older. My favorite season is winter because it is a good time to sow. We do not celebrate my birthday due to our low resources, but I would like to receive a cake someday. I prefer soccer as a sport, and I love drinking sodas and juices. I want to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect as my first language. Living Water is very important in my life, and I am grateful for the delicious food. I hope to hear from you soon.
All the best
