My Story

I am Elvia Leticia Chingo Simaj, and I am happy to say hello to you through this. I am nine years old. This year I am in third grade, and taking face-to-face classes at school three days a week. My schedule takes places from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm. Thanks to God, I have done well in my studies so far. In the afternoons I go outside and play games with my friends. I am also learning to do some chores at home. I am very happy because the feeding program is open again. The time it was closed due to the pandemic, I missed a lot the tasty food from it. For me to get there, it takes fifteen minutes by walking. To earn a living, my father works in a grocery store in the city. He comes home every two months. My mom now stays home and tends her domestic animals. Currently, she has not been going to the city to work there as she used to do before. To spend some time together, my family and I, occasionally go to the market and enjoy eating something there. My family and I did celebrate Christmas in the city. We got something to eat and had dinner altogether. At the moment, we are not attending any church. We were encouraged by one member from the Evangelism team to attend one and seek God. .

We live in three-room house with separate kitchen. The house is made of cement block, tin sheet roof and dirt floor. We do not have electricity, so a neighbor of us, provides it to us, and we pay for it. We do not have running water, so we get it from a spring water by using jars made of plastic. The house is in good condition. My father has not earned much due to the pandemic, and products of daily consumption rose in price. So, it affected our economy. As food supplies is a greatest need at home, I thank to the feeding program for providing us with grocery bags. It was all a great help and met some food expenses. Thanks to it, we were able to save some money for not getting food. Thank you very much for this support. May God bless each one of you. At the moment, I am doing well, and so is my family, thanks to God. To finish, I want you to know, my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I say good bye to you for now. Hope to hear from you soon.

Lots of God’s blessings,

Elvia Leticia Chingo Simaj
