My Story

Hello, everybody! My full name is Sandra Abigail Gonzalez Asencio and it is such a blessing to share a little bit about my life with you. I am 15 years old and I have had the blessing of attending the feeding program for about five years. Before having lunch, I receive Bible lessons. I like them because they help me to understand God's message in a better way. My parents are deeply grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for all the benefits that I have received, such as food and medicine. May our Heavenly Father shower them with much health and provision to continue building the kingdom! Thankfully, I am in good health. I am in eighth grade and I prefer hot weather rather than cold because it is perfect to play with water. To contribute to the chores, I usually cook and wash the dishes.

I live with my parents and my young sister. Luckily, they are all doing well. My father works hard in the printing shop by sewing notebooks, while my mother sells homemade snacks like tacos at the market. They do their best to provide me with food, education, and other needs, but it has been difficult for them since everything has risen in price. Our biggest expense is the rent of the house where we live, which costs $209.53 (Q1,600) monthly. My young sister and I share a bed since my parents have not been able to buy another. Could you please pray for my family and me?  We are members of Ebenezer Church and what we enjoy the most during services is singing. I am pleased to tell you that my mother accepted Jesus in her heart. She believes that God will admit her into heaven because He already forgave her. I will leave you now, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to compose this letter. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

With much love,

Sandra Abigail Gonzalez Asencio
