My Story

Hello! My name is Kimberly Fabiola, and I am excited to tell you my news through this letter. I hope you find it engaging. Let me tell you that my family and I attend a Christian Church called Sheep’s Shelter on Tuesdays and Sundays. As you know, my mom is single. She works hard to cover our expenses and needs. Her name is Maria Isabel Ixcoy Zacarias, and she is 46 years old. She works with her cousin by selling homemade snacks and beverages like atol and chuchitos (it is a typical dish). As for health, let me tell you that she suffers from high blood pressure. However, she takes her treatment to keep her pressure stable. Our economic situation has not gone well lately. Some of our greatest needs are new beds, a table, and a stove. Fortunately, we have received help and blessings from LW. It is a meaningful project because the staff teaches crucial values and talks about Jesus to needy people like us.

I am 8 years old, and I am in good health. I attended school as a first grader. I could play with my friends at recess and learn the lessons much better. My mom did her best to support my school supplies, but it was difficult for her. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I enjoy spending that lovely time with my cousins. My favorite pastime is playing dolls with my oldest sister, Sarai. I like drinking juices, but my favorite is mango. My family and I do not celebrate birthdays because of a lack of money. I hope our situation will be better soon. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a member of the LW staff to update you about my life. I say goodbye to you for now, but I hope to hear your news soon.

Special regads,

Kimberly Fabiola Ixcoy Zacarias
