My Story

It is a wonderful day to send my greetings hoping you are fine. We are members of Jehovah Pentecostal Prince of Peace Church, and we go on Fridays. This time LW staff shared the gospel with us, and we felt so happy to receive it and to be sure of our salvation in Christ. I am healthy and thanks to the Lord, my family is too. My father is Juan, and he is 28 years old. He earns a living by farming the land and day laboring. He supplies our home needs. My mother is Hermelinda, and she is 27 years old. She does the household work and raises hens for selling to contribute to the income. In addition, we grow corn, but it is for our consumption.

My name is Wendy Floridalma Luis Benito, and I am a 10-year-old girl. This is my first year at school, and I am in first grade. I like to go to school because I am learning a lot. My parents are doing their best to support me at school even though the school supplies are very expensive. When I am older, I would like to become a merchant and have my own business. Let me tell you my native language is one Quiche dialect, and I can speak a little Spanish, but I would like to improve it to communicate better with others. Something I like to do on my birthday is eat a cake alongside my loved ones. Playing football is so much fun; it is my favorite sport. The beverage I like the most is Coca-Cola. I love to eat “tamales” (a typical dish), which we usually eat on Christmas Eve. My family and I are very grateful to you and Living Water for all the support I receive which is very helpful to me and as well to my family; God bless you. The priority needs for my family are corn and groceries. Sending much love. Every blessing for you!

Kisses and hugs,

Wendy Floridalma Luis Benito
