My Story

Hello! I greet you in the name of Jesus and I wish you many successes in your daily activities. I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. I am Saira Maritza Luis Luis and I am 10 years old. Thank God we continue attending the Prince of Peace Church every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We thank the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words during the visit. My mother is sure of her salvation in Jesus. This year I am repeating 2nd grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes every day.  I prefer this study method because I learn a lot. My parents strive to support my siblings and me at school. Nowadays, school fees are expensive and sometimes it is difficult to cover all expenses due to a lack of stable jobs. My dream is to learn to cook. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English; I think this is an interesting language.  My favorite season of the year is summer because I like to go out and play. I enjoy playing with dolls in my spare time. I want to let you know that I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources, but I would like to have a cake someday. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Olivia Luis Mendez. She is 32 years old. Currently, she earns a living by carrying firewood for others and planting corn. In addition, she is raising hens and pigs at home. My father´s name is Santos Luis de Leon. Nowadays, he continues growing corn and traveling to the coast during corn harvest time. As a humble family, our current needs are corn, black beans, and firewood. We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every end of the year. May God bless you everywhere you are!

Warm regards,

Saira Martiza Luis Luis
