My Story

This is Herber Jeremias Portillo Alcazar, and I am writing this to update my 2023 information. First, I will tell you about my family. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries and school supplies. My mother’s name is Maria, and she is 49 years old. She sometimes works as a maid to earn some money. I want to ask you to pray for her because she is suffering from high blood pressure and has already visited a doctor. At the moment, she is drinking natural tea as medicine. She is the only one who attends church on Sunday. My oldest sister is Vannessa, and she helps us financially; she works as a secretary.

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 16 years old, and I am healthy. I am in 8^th grade, and I am happy to receive face-to-face classes because the teaching is better, and I can share time with my friends. My family’s economy is not stable, so it has been difficult for my mother to support me with my studies. I want to become an accountant when I am older, and I would like to learn English someday. My favorite season is winter because there is no heat; I like the cold weather. We do not have the custom to celebrate my birthday, but we thank God for another year of life. I prefer soccer as a sport, and I love drinking sodas like “Coca-Cola. Living Water is very important in my life, and I am grateful for all the blessings received. I say goodbye to you for now.
