My Story

Receive many blessings in the powerful name of Jesus. My full name is Mikeyla Azucena Elias Marquez, and I am so happy to share with you that I have attended the feeding program for five years. For my family and me, it has been such a great privilege to receive all the support that LW-Adopt A Child offers such as food and spiritual guidance. One of my uncles used to attend the feeding program and when he talked about this organization, my siblings and I had the desire to go there, too. I am a healthy 11-year-old girl, and what I like the most about the Bible classes is learning to get even closer to God. My family and I are members of Liberty Church. The presence of God and the family atmosphere makes us feel comfortable and motivated.

Even though we are unworthy to get into Heaven, thanks to the greatest love of God, we are assured to be admitted there. We accepted his son, Jesus in our hearts a while ago. I like the nursery area a lot, and I hope to be part of it as a teacher in the future. About school, let me tell you that I am in 5th grade. I tell you that I prefer cold to hot weather because I can sleep pleasantly. I usually do the dishes and work in the stationery store which belongs to my mother. She works as a domestic employee to help my father with the household expenses. My father makes a living as a carpenter. The house where we live belongs to my mother and two of her brothers; it was an inheritance. One of them contributes to cover the electricity and running water services. I say goodbye to you now, but I hope this letter helped you to learn about me.
