My Story

Hi! It is a pleasure to greet you in the name of Jesus. First of all, my family and I are grateful to Living Water because I receive medical and dental attention in the LW´s clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. I want to let you know that at the moment, we are not attending the Church. Thank you to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with us and for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit. As a family, we are sure of our salvation in Jesus. My mother´s name is Manuela de la Cruz de la Cruz. She is 35 years old. Nowadays, she continues earning a living by selling vegetables every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at the local market. Moreover, she raises hens and cows to sell and get some income. As you know, my father abandoned us many years ago. So, she is the only one that supports us financially. In addition, she grows corn, black beans, bananas, mangoes, and limes to sell and also for family consumption. I want to ask for your prayers for my mother`s health. She suffers from pain in her spine. Fortunately, she visited the doctor and now she is taking natural medicines Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Ignacia Aura Marina Morente de la Cruz and I am 15 years old. As you know, I am not studying because I do not want to go, but I am helping my mother with chores at home while she goes to the market to sell vegetables. My dream is to learn to cook many kinds of food. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English; I think this is a very important language. Bananas and strawberry smoothies are what I prefer to drink. New Year is my favorite celebration of the year because I enjoy the beginning of a new year. What I like to do for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake. Among sports, I prefer swimming. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through Living Water Adopt-A-Child every December.
