My Story

It is my pleasure to greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are fine alongside your loved ones! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Prince of Peace Church, and we go twice per week. We have already accepted Jesus in our hearts. My father is Gregorio Nas, and he is 40 years old. He earns a living by farming the land and being a day laborer. My mother is Regina Ruiz, and she is 36 years old. She does the chores at home and sells natural juice and “granizadas” (shaved ice with fruit, and syrup flavor) in Zacualpa´s market all week to contribute to the income. She also raises hens. At home, we grow corn and black beans for the family's consumption. My family and I are in good health, thanks to the Lord.

This is Siomara Gabriela Rocio, and I am a 15-year-old girl. I am a ninth-grade student, my classes are at school, and I like to go. Supporting me at school is hard for my parents because of a lack of resources, especially now that prices have increased. I would like to continue with my studies because I want to be a teacher because it is interesting for me. Let me tell you, the language that catches my attention is English, so I want to learn it. I love my family because they prepare a small party at home on my birthday; they make my day so special. I like Christmas time because people light colorful firecrackers; the show all around is cool. About beverages, my favorite is orange juice because it is delicious. Athletics is the sport I like the most. I am so grateful to Living Water for the tasty meals and medical attention in the clinics because it is a big blessing for me and my family. At home, the primary needs for us are black beans, noodles and corn. I hope you like my letter, and I would like to receive news from you soon. May God bless you greatly!

Kind regards,

Siomara Gabriela Rocio Naz Ruiz
