My Story

First, thank you so much for taking the time to read my information. This is Jairo, and I am delighted to share a little about my life with you. I live with my parents and seven siblings. We attend the Catholic Church every Monday. I am sure the Lord is my savior, and I appreciate that a member of the evangelism team encouraged me to strengthen my faith. Besides this, she spoke with me to collect my information for you. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want you to know that LW is a meaningful project for my family and me because of all the support they provide us. My father is 44 years old, and he makes a living in the field. Fortunately, his health is in good condition. My mother is 43 years old, and she keeps busy at home with the household chores. Recently, she was diagnosed with stress gastritis. Unfortunately, our economy is weak, and because of that, she occasionally buys her treatment.

We are a big family, so we have trouble buying clothes, school and food supplies. We try to get ahead by raising hens and growing corn for our consumption. I am thirteen years old, and my health is in good condition. I dedicate my time to help my family to do some chores at home. I like farming the land, so I would like to become the best farmer when I am older. Holy Week is my favorite holiday because I enjoy eating bread with honey. My favorite drink is Coca-Cola, and I like soccer. If someone in my family is celebrating their birthday, we pray to thank God for another year of life and ask for blessings; that is something I love doing the most to celebrate my birthday. My native language is the Quiche dialect, and I know a few Spanish words and expressions. I hope to improve and speak that language fluently someday. This is all for now, but before saying goodbye to you, I thank you so much for being part of those who bless many people like me through the feeding program. May God reward you richly!

Cordiality yours,

Jairo Manuel Tzoy de la Cruz
