My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you in the name of Jesus and I hope you are doing fine. My name is Marcial Ovidio Jimon Barrera and I am 11 years old. I want to let you know that we are attending the Charismatic Group every Tuesday. Fortunately, my family and I have faith in our salvation in Christ. This year I am in 5^th grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes every day. I love this study method because I learn a lot. My parents strive to support my sister and me at school. Nowadays, school fees are expensive, and sometimes it is difficult to cover all expenses due to a lack of a stable job. My dream is to help my father with his job. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn English; I think this is an interesting language around the world. My favorite season of the year is winter because I love to play in the rain. I like soft drinks. About sports, I prefer soccer. I want to let you know that I like to celebrate my birthday with a special lunch prepared by my mom. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Catalina Barrera Gomez. She is 35 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home and raising hens and pigs to sell and get some income. My father`s name is Domingo Jimon Rodriguez. He is 39 years old. Nowadays, he travels to Guatemala City market and works by carrying heavy packages for others. We grow corn and black beans for the family`s consumption. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries, corn, and clothes. Thank you to Living Water because we have been blessed for instance with the meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at year´s end. May God bless you and take care of you!
