My Story

It is my pleasure to greet you by this means, and I hope you are receiving many blessings from God! At the moment, we are not attending church. This time LW staff shared the gospel and encouraging words to look for a church to go to; we appreciate this so much. I am so thankful to God because my family and I are healthy. My father is Vicente Rodriguez, and he is 60 years old. He earns a living by working as a farmer and day laborer. My mother is Teresa de la Cruz, and she is 48 years old. She stays busy with the household work, and she raises hens and pigs to sell. At home, we grow corn and black beans for our consumption.

I am Lesbia Cristina Rodriguez De La Cruz, and my current age is 11 years old. I am in 5^th grade; I am learning a lot since my classes are at school. For my parents, it has been difficult to cover the school supplies because of the lack of resources, and we have other expenses at home. When I grow up, I would like to be a nurse to take care of people. And, the language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. I like to play football in my free time; it is the sport I like the most. I love drinking sodas, and my favorite is Pepsi cola. One custom of my village is to eat bread with honey on Holy Week; I like it. I get so happy when my birthday comes because my parents buy me new clothes; it feels so nice. I am so grateful to you and to Living Water for providing me with a tasty meal, and the dental and medical attention; it is a big blessing for me. The greatest needs are sugar, black beans, corn and clothes. I say goodbye to you for now hoping to receive news from you soon. Many blessings!
