My Story

I greet you in Jesus’ name hoping you are doing well. I am Sergio Benjamin, and I am happy to write and greet you through this letter. I want to start telling you about my family. We are attending Ebenezer Church on Monday and Friday, and we are assured of our Salvation. We raise hens and pigs for selling when we are in need of money. We grow corn and black beans for our consumption. We are a humble family, and our income is low, so we are in need of groceries, clothes and shoes. It has been difficult for my mother to go ahead with my siblings and me because my father has abandoned us. My mother is 32 years old, and she is in good health. She is working as a maid and also does farm chores with our neighbors. My siblings and I stay alone at home when she goes to work. There are times that my mom gets discouraged due to our situation but she is doing her best.

I am healthy, and I am 11 years old. I am in 4th grade, and I prefer to attend school in person because it is easier to learn the lessons. It is not easy to cover my school supplies, but my mother works hard for it. I want to get a good job when I am older in order to help my family financially. I also would like to learn English language. My favorite season is winter because I like running under the rain. I love drinking “Incaparina” which is a hot beverage made from corn and soy. When we have the possibilities, we buy a cake for my birthday, and I share it with my family. I enjoy playing soccer. I am very blessed with all that I receive from Living Water and you; I am very grateful to you. May God bless you!

All the best
