My Story

Hello! Praise the Lord my family and I attend the God's people Church; we go on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Thankfully, I am healthy and so is my family. My father was Andy Estuardo Martinez Velasquez, but sadly, he died a couple years ago. My mother is Carol Estefania Vasquez, and she is 30 years old. She does her best to supply our home needs, and since she is a single parent, it is harder for her. She works by doing cleaning and laundry to get money. My stepfather no longer lives with us, and unfortunately, he does not support the son he has with my mother. My mother is struggling to get us ahead.

My name is Angy Marbella Martinez Vasquez, and I am a 14-year-old girl. This year I was a sixth-grade student; I received classes at school, and it was easy to comprehend the lessons. Due to a lack of resources, this year was hard for my mother to buy the school supplies and uniforms; she does not earn too much; however, she did her best for my siblings and me. My dream is to continue with my studies and become a flight attendant and a doctor. The English language catches my attention, and I would like to learn how to speak it. The sport I like the most is basketball. I love drinking horchata, and it is my favorite beverage. Christmas is one of my favorite seasons of the year; I love Christmas decorations and the joyful environment. On my birthday, if possible, my mother buys a cake for me, or we just give thanks to God for allowing me a new year of life. Being part of the feeding program from Living Water is a great help for me and my family; we pray God blesses you abundantly. We are in need of groceries, school supplies, a bed, a table, and a wardrobe. I hope to hear from you very soon. Many and abundant blessings!

Kind regards,

Angy Marbella Martinez Vasquez
