My Story

This is Javier, and I am glad to say hello to you through this letter. These are my last news, so I hope you find them engaging. I attend a Christian Church called Jehovah Nissi. My parents and I usually attend it on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. My mother, Claudia Alvarado, is unemployed at the moment. So, she dedicates her time to doing the household chores and looking after me. My father, Javier Mazate, makes a living as a messenger. He does his best for our family, although he sometimes has trouble covering all bills at home and my school needs. Our priorities are food and scholar shoes. Luckily, our health condition is good. I am eleven years old, and one of my dreams is to become a soccer player. I also would like to learn how to speak English.

I am a fourth grader, and I enjoy attending school. This method is the best because you can understand your lessons better than studying at home. Playing water with your friends or family is fun, so I take advantage of summer to do it. I also enjoy drinking water and tamarind juice for that time. When I celebrate my birthday, I love doing many things. However, I love eating McDonald’s to celebrate my day, so my parents strive to buy it for me. This is all for now, but before saying goodbye for now, I want to tell you about LW. This project is a great blessing for my family and me, so we are deeply grateful to each good-hearted people who contribute to help many children like me. Thank you so much for reading my news! I send you my best wishes, hoping to hear from you someday.

From the bottom of my heart,

Javier Alessandro Mazate Alvarado
