I am sending you warm greetings with this letter, and I hope you are fine. Praise the Lord, my family, and I attend Prince of Peace Church; we go very often. We appreciate so much the encouraging words that LW staff gave us this time to continue seeking God. I am in good health and so are my family. My father is Ribogerto, and he is 42 years old. He left for the United States some time ago, and unfortunately, he has alcohol problems, so he no longer sends us money for the expenses. My mother is Aurelia, and she is 37 years old. She raises hens and sells medicines by catalog to get income and support the family. We grow corn and black beans for our consumption.
I am Gregoria Renata, and I am an 8-year-old girl. This year I am repeating 1st grade; I am doing my best to learn, but it has been very difficult to understand the lessons. Since my mother is the only one who covers our needs, it is very difficult to support me at school. My native language is Quiche dialect, and I would like to learn to speak Spanish because I would like to communicate better with other people. Later, I would like to work in a grocery store. I like to play football in my free time; it is the sport I like the most. I like drinking soda, and my favorite is Coca cola. I love Christmas time because I share time with my family; we eat “tamales” (a typical dish). We are so grateful to you and Living Water for the tasty meals and the dental and medical attention because it is a big blessing for us. We are in need of groceries, corn and clothes. Well, this is all for now. May God bless you richly!
Hugs and much love,
Gregoria Renata Garcia Morente
