My Story

It is my pleasure to greet you on this beautiful day, hoping you are fine! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Grace Treasures Church, and we go three times per week. We appreciate so much the encouraging words that LW staff gave us because it is important for spiritual life. My father is Juan Esteban Lopez Queche, and he is 40 years old. He continues working as an accounting assistant, and he is supporting our family. My mother is Cintia Aracely Perez, and she is 37 years old. She does the housework, and sometimes, she sells whatever she can to get some income and help my father. My family and I are fine, but I want to ask for your prayers for my brother Santiago Lopez Perez who suffers from convulsions. He is taking medicines, but those are expensive. As for me, I had aortic vein surgery in the past, and I had periodic medical checkups at IGSS (Guatemalan Institute of Social Security) until I became fifteen years old; I am already 15 years old, and probably, I will finish with the medical appointments. We have a dog.

This is Javier Alejandro Lopez Perez, and I am a 15-year-old boy. I am a ninth-grade student; my learning is better because I receive classes at school, and I can share time with my classmates. Supporting my siblings and me at school is hard for my father since he is the only one who works to supply all the expenses. When I grow up, I would like to be a systems engineer. The language I would like to learn is French; it is so interesting. I love summer because I have days off and I have good times with my family. Football is the sport I like the most. I like sodas and my favorite one is Sprite. To celebrate my birthday, my parents invite me to go out someplace and buy me a cake if they have resources; I feel so happy when my birthday comes. I am so grateful to you and Living Water who provides me with food, medical care in the clinics, and most important with God´s word; it is a big blessing for me. The greatest needs are groceries, medicines, and shoes. Well, this is all for now. May God bless you greatly!

Warm greettings,

Javier Alejandro Lopez Perez
