My Story

Hello. I greet you from the bottom of my heart, and I hope you are doing fine. I want to share some news about my family and me. My name is Karen Sofia Asuncion Calderon Peña and I am 12 years old. We are attending Saint Joseph's church every Sunday. This year I studied the 5^th grade at school and received face-to-face classes every day. I learned a lot with this study method. Nowadays, school fees are expensive, but my mother made an effort to support my sister and me with school expenses. I speak Spanish, but I would like to learn Cakchiquel (a Mayan dialect). In the future, I want to become a lawyer. My favorite season of the year is summer because I like to play in the water with my friends. Strawberry smoothie is my favorite beverage. I enjoy playing soccer. What I like for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake along with my family. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Karla Marina Pena Recinos. She is 47 years old. At the moment, she earns a living by selling ice creams and products from catalogs in order to support us with home expenses. As you know, she is a single mother, and she is the only one that provides for the family. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries and shoes. We are grateful to you and Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I received recently through LW. May God bless you greatly!
