Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you by this letter. I want to share some news about my family and me. I am Leydi Melisa Garcia Chingo and I am 10 years old. I want to let you know that we are attending Bethel Church. This year I am in 4th grade at school. I am receiving face-to-face classes and I am learning a lot with this study method. Nowadays, my father is making an effort to support my sister and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that he does not have a stable job. My dream is to become a teacher. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because we make a bonfire, and we roast marshmallows to eat with the family. I prefer fruit juices. Soccer is my favorite sport. What I like about my birthday is that my mother buys me a cake. Thank God, all my family and I are in good health.
My mother`s name is Juana Chingo Morente. She is 33 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home. In addition, she is raising hens and turkeys to sell and get some income. My father`s name is Ramiro Garcia Franco. He is 30 years old. At the moment, he continues working as a farmer and day laborer and he travels to the coast to pick coffee beans at every end of the year. Our current needs are groceries and corn. We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every end of the year. I hope you enjoy reading my letter. May God bless you greatly!
Many hugs,
Leydi Melisa Garcia Chingo
