Hello, it is a pleasure to greet you again. It’s your sponsored daughter, Sandra Riz Leon. I send many hugs and many blessings in the name of Jesus. I hope you are well along with your family. I want to share with you some updated information today. Thankfully I am doing well, along with my family. I am sixteen years old now, and I love going to the feeding program every chance I get. As you know, I am no longer studying, because it is an expense that we cannot afford. I stay home and help my mom with the housework and chores. My mom is my best friend. We do everything together, and I love spending time with her, even when it’s just cleaning or running errands. Her name is Rogelia Leon Cux. She is a stay-at-home mom, and she also raises some small domestic animals to sell so she can make a little extra money. I also love spending time with my dad. I want to be like him, because I love how he always helps me with the things I do. My dad’s name is Pablo Riz Garcia. He is a farmer and day laborer. He works very hard to make money so he can sustain our family financially.
I want to tell you that my mom is still suffering from arthritis. As you know, she has struggled with arthritis for twelve years now, but she has been able to go to the doctor. She went a few months ago, and they gave her some injections for her to do herself when her arthritis flares up. I hope you will pray for my mom so that she will get better and not have to be in pain anymore. That was one of the most impactful experiences in my life. It was very hard for me to see my mom so sick a few years ago. I am so grateful that she is better now, because I know God has given her health back. He is our Helper and Healer. As a family we go to a Catholic church. We love participating in the mass services during Holy Week each week. When the Living Water evangelism teacher came to talk to us, she reminded us of the message of the gospel, and we were very grateful to hear this message. Thankfully, my parents are sure of their salvation, and my mom was encouraged by the teacher to continue seeking the Lord. We are so grateful for all the blessings we receive through Living Water Adopt-A-Child, from the food to the medicine. It has been a blessing to be a part of this program and ministry. I say goodbye for now, but I send much love and big hugs. I hope to hear from you again soon.
Hugs and kisses,
Sandra Riz Leon
