My Story

Hello! I am greeting you with much love hoping you are fine wherever you are. I am Maria Angelina Tzoy Ajqui, and I want to tell you about my family and homelife. We raise hens for selling, and we grow corn and black beans for our consumption; we also grow and sell herbs. We are a humble family, and we are frequently in need of groceries and clothes. We are a Christian family and we have accepted Jesus in our hearts. We are still members of Prince of Peace Pentecostal Church, and we attend the Monday´s service. Thankfully, my parents are fine and healthy. My father’s name is Manuel, and he is 56 years old. He works as a day laborer three or four days per week. My mother’s name is Manuela, and she is 46 years old. She works hard at home and looks after our domestic animals.

Now, let’s talk about me. I am happy to attend school in person, and I am in 3^rd grade this year. My father does not have a stable job, so it has been hard for him to support me with my studies. I would like to learn English language in the future. I want to become a good housewife when I am older. I am 9 years old, and I do not have the custom to celebrate my birthday due to our low income. I love Christmas time because my family meets, and we light fireworks. My favorite drinks are sodas, and I like playing soccer. I am grateful to Living Water and you for blessing me with delicious lunches through the feeding program. I say goodbye to you for now hoping to have news from you soon. May God bless you!
