My Story

I greet you fondly, hoping you and your loved ones are doing well. My name is Kimberly Roxana, and I want to tell you my news through this letter. I hope you find it engaging. I am 14 years old, and I still attend Assembly of God Church. My family and I usually have services on Wednesdays and Fridays. My father, Matilde Mucia Ajqui, is 63 years old. He makes a living by doing masonry work and raising a few cows to sell. He also grows corn for our consumption. My mom, Felipa Jimon De La Cruz, is 62 years old. She is a housewife and raises hens and pigs to help with the expenses at home. She also sells fruits at the market on Thursdays and Sundays. We need groceries at home. Thankfully, they are in good health.

Now, I want you to know a little bit more about me. I did not attend school this year because I no longer wanted to continue studying. Today, I keep busy doing the chores to help my mom at home. I sometimes work as a day laborer. There are many things that I would love to do when I am older. Some of them are to become a hair stylist and improve my Spanish speaking. My native language is the Kiche dialect. Christmas is the best time to spend with our loved ones, so I love it. I like drinking coffee and my favorite sport is soccer. I love my parents a lot because they do their best for me. When my birthday comes, they make something special to celebrate my day. To end this letter, I want you to know that LW is a great blessing for my family and me. I appreciate all you have done for me through this project. See you later!

With much love,

Kimberly Roxana Mucia Jimon
