My Story

Hello! Warm Greetings from Guatemala! I am Kayleen Adamaris Tzoy Chan. It is a pleasure for me to share my news with you once again. I want to start by telling you that my mother was interviewed by the LW team to get this information. I am 15 years old. I have been in good health. I was in 7th grade at school, and I received classes in the afternoons. At home, I usually helped by weaving typical blouses. I feel happy to attend the feeding program because my life has been blessed in many ways such as food, medicine and gifts. What I enjoy the most is every time that they serve beans with eggs at the feeding program. My favorite activity there is Christmas. It is well planned, and we have a lot of fun.

About my family, let me tell you that my father Tomas continues supporting our family as a moto taxi driver. Nevertheless, at this time he is not living with us since he is working in Quiche. He comes to visit us every month or two. On the other hand, my mother Rosa lives with us and takes care of us and the house. She is still helping with the income by weaving typical skirts. We still grow corn for our consumption as well as raise chickens for our family. My father´s health is good, but I would like to ask for your prayers for my mother because of her diabetes. She is currently suffering from gastritis too. Fortunately, she is under treatment, but we pray that the Lord heals her. My family does not own a house. We must rent one and pay every month. My mom and siblings are living here rather than in Quiche with my father because we need Living Water. As I told you before, LW blesses my family and me in a big way. Recently, we started attending the Methodist Church, so we thank the evangelism team for their encouraging words. Well, this is the short story of my life. I appreciate your interest in reading this. May God bless you and your whole family.

With lots of love,

Kayleen Adamaris Tzoy Chan
