My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you and wish you a blessed and beautiful day. In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. My name is Wener Estuardo Morente Luis and I am 11 years old. This year, I am in 3^rd grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot.  At the moment, my father is making an effort to support my sister and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that he does not have a stable job. Sometimes, it is very difficult to buy clothes and a backpack for school. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). I like to drink “Incaparina” (a hot drink made of corn and soy flour) and soft beverages.  What I would like to do for my birthday is for my father to buy me a delicious cake. Among sports, I prefer soccer. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

As you know, my mother passed away many years ago. My father`s name is Alberto Morente de la Cruz. He is 46 years old.  He earns a living by working as a farmer, day laborer, and carpenter in order to support the family. He continues living with her wife Juana Luis Chingo in the same piece of land where we live.  She is 34 years old. She is a housewife. Moreover, she raises hens for the family`s consumption. At the moment, I continue living under the care of my older siblings Brenda and Elmer, but my father is attentive to us. We grow corn only for our family`s consumption. I want to let you know that we are attending the Prince of Peace Church every Monday. Thank you to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words during the visit. My family and I are grateful to Living Water because thanks to your support I receive medical and dental attention in the clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December.
