I greet you with much love hoping you are doing well. I am Maria Anally Clara Nicol Colay Barillas, and I am 14 years old. I am in 6th grade this year, and I study at home because it is difficult for me to walk. I work with study guides and deliver my homework every week. It has not been difficult for me to study in this way. We do not have internet at home, so we buy an internet plan on the phone when it is necessary. I liked to attend the feeding program because I received delicious food and good attention. I used to walk for 25 minutes to arrive to the program, and I hope it can open its doors again soon. My aunt, Carmen, sells second-hand clothes, and she is the one who covers my needs. My great-grandmother, Paula takes care of me. We spend time as a family at home and only sometimes go to the park.
We have a traditional celebration for Christmas, so we eat “tamales and ponche” for the dinner. We are not attending a church at the moment. We live in our own house, and it has one room and one kitchen. The house is made of concrete block with a tin sheet roof and concrete floor, and it has running water and electricity services. My family is in good health, but I would like to ask you to pray for me because I have problems moving one of my legs and arms; I already had a surgery. We have been affected by this pandemic because there is not much work, and the medicine is more expensive now. Please keep us in your prayers since we are in need of food, medicine and school supplies. I tell you that my aunt helped me to give this information to an Evangelism teacher. I hope you like my letter.
