I am so happy to write this letter to share a little about my life with you. My full name is Julia Nicolasa Lopez Barrera, and I hope you are doing well. I am 13 years old, and I am in seventh grade. I do homework in the morning and attend school in the afternoon. I usually help my mom to clean our house on weekends. I want to open my heart and tell you that my father separated from my mom almost one year ago. This situation has been difficult for my mom and me, so I ask you to pray for us. She is working hard to move forward with me and cover the expenses and needs at home. She makes a living by washing clothes for other people. Fortunately, we are in good health. Let me tell you that my father is in touch with me and helps me economically. He works as a mason and helps me with Q300=$38.71 monthly.
My mom and I attend the Catholic Church in our town. My mom accepted Jesus as her Savior about 15 years ago. As for me, let me tell you that I also did it one year ago. I am so happy for it! I am glad to be part of the feeding program because I can have delicious meals and medicine for free. My favorite food at the feeding program is fried chicken. I like celebrating Christmas at this project because the staff organizes engaging games and gives lovely gifts to the children. To end this letter, I want you to know that a teacher of the LW evangelism team encouraged my mom to trust in God and give Jesus the control of our lives. I say goodbye to you now, but I hope the Lord rewards you for your charity and good-heart.
In the name of Jesus,
Julia Nicolasa Lopez Barrera
