My Story

I greet you in Jesus’ name hoping you are doing well. This is Selena Garcia Simaj, and I am writing this small letter just for you. I want to start it by asking for your prayers for my father since he is recovering from a surgery. He had a kind of mass in his stomach and was operated on a couple of months ago. At the moment, he is not working. His name is Domingo, and he is 35 years old. My mother is covering our needs by selling homemade food in the local plaza on Thursday and Sunday. Her name is Manuela, and she is 35 years old. Our income is low, so we are in need of groceries. We have hens and pigs at home, and we sell them when we are in need of money. We also grow corn, but it is for our consumption. We attend Bethel Methodist Church on Thursday and Sunday, and we are assured in our Salvation.

Living Water is very important for me because I have been blessed in a great way. I am a healthy girl who is 15 years old and likes playing soccer. I keep busy helping my mother with the chores and her business. I want to get a good job in order to help my family financially. I would like to learn English language. My favorite drink is “Incaparina” (hot drink made from corn and soy), and I love Christmas celebration because I eat “tamales and ponche” with my family. I share a cake and a delicious lunch with my family when it is my birthday. Well, I say goodbye to you for now hoping to have news from you soon.
