My Story

I greet you in this opportunity and I trust that our Lord is blessing you! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Mount Sinai Church; we go on Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We trust our salvation in Christ. This time I want to ask for your prayers for my father who is having health issues. He is sick with gastritis and kidney problems; he has already visited a doctor and is taking medicines. My mother, siblings and I are in good health.  My mother is Rosario Hernandez, and she is 42 years old. She usually stays at home doing the housework. My father is Victor Rosalio Ruiz Aguilar, and he is 57 years old. He continues with the business of renting chairs and tables; he is supplying the family´s needs. We do not raise animals or grow anything because we do not have enough space.

This is Keila Julisa Ruiz Hernandez, and I am 13 years old. I am a seventh-grade student; since I receive classes at school, it is better for me to comprehend the lessons. My father is the one who covers the school and home expenses, but now, everything is expensive, and sometimes, he does not have enough resources. My dream is to continue with my studies and become a secretary someday. I would like to learn English; I think it is very interesting language. Let me tell you that here in Guatemala, we have some hot drinks called “atol”, and my favorite is one called “atol quebrantado” which is delicious. The date I like so much is September 15th because it is the independence of my country, and we have several activities. Someday, I would like to celebrate my birthday with my family and have a special lunch. Being part of Living Water program has blessed my life; I thank you for all your support toward me. The greatest needs are groceries and corn. I send all my love hoping to receive news from you very soon. Many and abundant blessings!

Warm greetings,

Keila Julisa Ruiz Hernandez
