My Story

I greet you cordially and hope you are doing fine alongside your loved ones. I want to share some news with you about my family and me. I am Lesly Marisol Suar Chingo and I am 12 years old. I want to let you know that at the moment, we are attending the Catholic church every Wednesday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my mother during the visit and for their encouraging words. She is sure of her salvation in Jesus. This year, I am in 5th grade at school and I am receiving face-to-face classes every day. I prefer this study method because I learn a lot about subjects. At the moment, my father is making an effort to support my siblings and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that he does not have a stable job. My dream is to become a farmer. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English; it is a very important language. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas. Peach juice is my favorite beverage. Among sports, I prefer soccer. What I like to do for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Marcela Chingo Chingo. She is 33 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home. Moreover, she raises hens at home. My father`s name is Cesar Suar. He is 34 years old. Currently, he earns a living by working as a mason helper in order to support the family. We are a humble family and our current needs are groceries, corn, and firewood. We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December. I hope you like my letter!

Lots of love,

Lesly Marisol Suar Chingo
