My Story

It is a pleasure to greet you through this and I wish the best in your daily activities! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Catholic Church; we go on Wednesdays. This time LW staff shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to continue seeking God and trust our salvation in Him. It was good to receive the message. I am so thankful to God because my family and I are healthy. My mother is Marcela de la Cruz Toj, and she is 37 years old. She is a housewife, and she also weaves typical clothes for selling. She raises hens and pigs to sell and get income. We grow corn and black beans for the family's consumption. My father is Pedro Hernandez Ajqui, and he is 42 years old. He works as a day laborer, but nevertheless, he does not want to support the family. He gets mad if we ask for something that we need.

This is Paulina Hernandez De La Cruz, and I am 13 years old. Unfortunately, this year I could not continue with my studies due to limited resources. But my wish is to return to school and continue with my studies. For now, I stay at home, and I help my mother with the housework. My favorite drink is oatmeal. Athletics is the sport I like the most. I like Christmas time because I have a good time with my family and friends; we share some homemade food. I get so excited when my birthday comes, I usually ask my mother for my favorite meal. If she has the resources, she cooks for me. On behalf of my family and me, thank you very much for all the support that we receive through Living Water; we are a needy family and appreciate the unconditional support we received. We thank God for blessing us and providing for our daily sustenance, but the most needed items at home are groceries, corn, soap and clothes.
