My Story

Hi! It is a pleasure to greet you in the name of Jesus and hope you have a beautiful and brilliant day.  I want to share a little about my family and me in this opportunity. My mother`s name is Rosa Quino Hernandez. She is 46 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home and takes care of the family. Moreover, she raises hens, cows, and pigs at home. In this opportunity, I want to ask for your prayers for her because she continues suffering from a hernia in her stomach.  Fortunately, she visited the doctor, but she is not taking medicine due to a lack of money. My father´s name is Marcos Larios Cux.  He is 46 years old. He continues working as a mechanic in his own mechanic workshop in order to support us financially. As a humble family, our current needs are corn and groceries. We grow corn and black beans for our family`s consumption. Nowadays, we continue attending the Assembly of God Church once a week. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit. So, she has Jesus in her heart. By the grace of God, the rest of my family is in good health.

I am Alicia Paulina Larios Quino. I am 11 years old. This year I am in 3rd grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot. I find it easier to do the homework with this study method. Nowadays, my father is making an effort to support my siblings and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that he does not have a stable job. Sometimes, it is very difficult to cover every expense. In the future, I want to become a teacher. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish in order to improve my communication with others. My favorite celebration of the year is Easter because our custom is to eat bread and honey. What I like to drink is “mosh” (a hot beverage made of oatmeal). For my birthday. I like to eat a delicious cake and to get some gifts. Among sports, I prefer soccer. My family is grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that you sent to me at the end of the year. May God protect you everywhere you are!

Huges and kisses,

Alicia Paulina Larios Quino
