My Story

Hi! I greet you in the name of Jesus and I wish you have a successful and blessed day. I want to share with you a little about my family and me.  I am Franco Silvestre Saquic Garcia and I am 13 years old.  At the moment, we continue attending the Prince of Peace Church once a week. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit, and she has Jesus in her heart. This year I studied the 6th grade at school. I received face-to-face classes every day and learned a lot with this study method due to the good explanations of my teachers about homework. Nowadays, school fees are expensive, but my mother made an effort to support my sister and me with school expenses. Sometimes, it was difficult to cover every expense. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to improve my Spanish speaking skills. My dream is to become a teacher. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to light fireworks. I like to drink lemonade.  Among sports, I prefer soccer. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources, but I would like to have a cake someday. Thank God, my family is in good health.

My mother`s name is Anabella Garcia Benito. She is 30 years old. At the moment, she earns a living by working in a restaurant. She comes to visit us every weekend, and she supports us economically.  I live under the care of my maternal grandmother while my mother is working.  My grandmother´s name is Maria de Jesus Garcia. She does chores at home and she raises hens. As you know my father passed away 2 years ago, and I want to let you know that my mother is the only one who supports us financially. As a needy and humble family, our current needs are corn and black beans. We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every year`s end through LW.  I hope you like to read my letter. May God bless you richly!

Huge hugs,

Franco Silvestre Saquic Garcia
