I am so glad to write this letter to someone special like you. This is Juan Gerardy Chingo Morente and before starting, I thank you so much for taking the time to read my information. I am 13 years old and did not attend school this year because I am no longer interested in studying. Currently, I work farming the land alongside my father to earn a little money. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer with my friends. I am grateful for being part of LW-Adopt A Child because I receive medicine for free at the clinics. I like having meals at the feeding program. The staff prepares delicious food, so it is hard to say which one is my favorite.
I am glad because my older brother Carlos and I welcomed Jesus as our Savior at the Catholic Church about three years ago. My mom also did it many years ago. Let me tell you that she is a housewife, raises and sells domestic animals, and weaves typical clothes. She uses her income to help at home with the expenses. Fortunately, she is doing well. As for my father, let me tell you that he is dedicated to working as a day laborer and weaving to survive. Unfortunately, he has problems with alcohol. So, I beg you to pray for him. To end this letter, I want you to know that I am excited because I will receive a Christmas gift from the staff and missionaries at the feeding program soon, thanks to the donation from many kind people like you. See you later!
Affectionately,
Juan Gerardy Chingo Morente
