My Story

I greet you lovingly, hoping you are fine and healthy. My name is Nelson Macario and I want to share my last news with you. Before starting, I want you to know that a teacher from LW collected this information thanks to my sister-in-law, Miriam Buchan. My family and I attend the Catholic Church every Tuesday. Thankfully, we are doing well. The one who supports all the expenses and needs at home is my father. His name is Macario De La Cruz, and he is 50 years old. He makes a living as a day laborer. He also grows corn for our consumption. My mother, Clemencia Simaj, is 47 years old. She is a busy housewife who raises hens. She does not sell them. I am grateful to you for loving and supporting me through LW. It has been a tremendous blessing for my family too.

I am in sixth grade this year. I receive face-to-face classes. That method helps me to learn the lessons fast. Bills and expenses usually change according to our needs. Therefore, my father sometimes has trouble covering my school supplies. I would love to become a mechanic and speak English when I am older. I hope to be able to accomplish my dreams someday. The holiday that I love the most is Christmas. I have fun by burning firecrackers and spending that lovely time with my family. My favorite hot beverage is Incaparina – a typical hot beverage – and I love playing football. I will have my fifteenth birthday in November. What I love the most is receiving congratulations from my family. We sometimes eat a delicious snack to celebrate birthdays at home. This is all for now, but I hope to hear your last news someday.
