Hello, my name is Felix! It is a privilege to greet you through this letter. I hope you are in good health. My family and I are Catholics. We usually attend mass on Mondays. A teacher of the LW evangelism team spoke with my mother to collect this news for you. She was grateful to them for the kind and encouraging words they gave her to continue trusting the Lord is our savior. We consider the feeding program a great blessing in our community. Besides God’s news, which is the most important, many children like my siblings and I can receive delicious lunches there. My father, Lucas Gutierrez, is 34 years old. He dedicates himself to masonry and farm jobs to support our family. He also grows corn for our consumption. My mother, Lucia Gutierrez, is 31 years old. She dedicates herself to doing the chores and selling domestic animals; she helps my father financially with her income. She raises pigs, turkeys, and hens.
When the coffee harvest time comes, my whole family and I travel to the coast and work for about three months to get extra income. I like how my parents get extra income there, so I hope to work by doing the same at the coast when I am older. Fortunately, nobody is sick at home. I am twelve years old, and my health is good. I am a fifth-grader student; I like that classes are face-to-face again. We are a big family. Therefore, it has been hard for my parents to buy food supplies like corn and school supplies like notebooks. My favorite holiday is Christmas because we prepare delicious tamales. I love drinking lemonade and playing soccer. I will have my next birthday in December of this year, but I will not be able to celebrate it because of a lack of money. This is all for now, but I am deeply grateful to you for reading my information. See you later!
With much love,
Felix Gutierrez Gutierrez
