What a wonderful day to greet you from my country Guatemala! I am so excited to share all I have been through this year with my family. I am Jenny Beatriz Mendez Calachij. Thank God, I have been a healthy girl. I turned 15 years old in June. As you remember I am no longer at school. I stay at home and help my mother with the housework. I spend my weekend at home too and taking care of my siblings. Living Water has blessed my life in many ways. I love attending the feeding program and especially when they serve my favorite dish which is friend chicken. I also like the Christmas activity that takes place in the program, and I receive a special gift.
Years before, I told you that my biological father abandoned our family. Now, my mother has established a new relationship with Juan Gonzalez. He has been living with us for one year. He sustains our family by working as a carpenter. He is 56 years old and is in good health. On the other hand, my mother Maria is just dedicated to caring about the house and us. She earns a little money by raising chickens and sheep to sell. Besides that, we grow corn and beans for our feeding. Currently, we attend Christ is the Foundation Church. This time, I would like to ask your prayers for my family and be sure that we will continue praying for yours too. Before finishing, I want you to know that I was interviewed by the Evangelism team to give you this information. I thank them for the encouraging words they gave me during their visit. Well, my dearest angels, because you are that for me, I thank you for loving me and supporting me through Adopt-A-Child. I keep you in my heart always. Take care!
Many blessings,
Jenny Beatriz Mendez Calachij
