My Story

Special regards from Guatemala! I am Flora Dominga de la Cruz de la Cruz and I am so grateful to God for allowing me to share a little bit about my life with you through this letter. I am 18 years old, and fortunately, I am in good health. I have attended the feeding program for about ten years, which has been a great blessing. My parents appreciate so much all the food and medical assistance that I can receive for free. Moreover, we have received spiritual assistance and encouragement from this organization. Proof of that, sister Sandra (a member of the LW staff) recently talked with my father about how he could be assured of being admitted into heaven.

I tell you that I stopped attending school a while ago. Today, I am dedicated to help my mother with the household chores such as feeding our pigs. We also raise chickens to sell. I prefer hot weather rather than cold, and I would like to serve at my church by doing different tasks. It would be wonderful to be part of the chorus. My family and I attend the Catholic Church and what motivates us to continue persevering there is the fellowship. I am pleased to tell you that my father accepted Jesus in his heart many years ago. He is doing well and makes a living as a day laborer and farmer. On the other hand, my mother keeps busy growing coriander and broccoli to sell at the market. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family so that God keeps us in good health. See you later!
