My Story

This is Ervin Isaias Garcia De La Cruz, and I am writing this to update my information for 2023. First, I will tell you about my family. We are still members of Christian Life Church, and we attend the services on Tuesday and Saturday. We are assured of our Salvation. We have hens and pigs at home, and we sometimes sell them. We grow corn, and it is for our consumption. At the moment, we are in need of groceries. My father’s name is Julio, and he is in good health. He is in the United States and sends money for our needs. My mother’s name is Macaria, and she is in good health too. She is a housewife.

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 16 years old, and I am healthy. I no longer attend school. My father has the possibility to support me with my studies, but I did not want to continue. I keep busy working on the fields. I would like to travel to the United States in order to build my own house. My favorite season is winter because the rain is useful for the crops. I enjoy eating cake for my birthday. I like playing soccer, and I love drinking “atol de masa” (hot drink made from corn). I want to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect as my first language; it would be incredible to learn English too. Living Water is very important in my life because I receive delicious meals at the feeding program. I say goodbye to you for now.
