My Story

I am grateful to the Lord for being able to greet you through this letter. I want you to know that my mom helped me to write this for you. My name is Jessica Heisel Concepcion Tunay Ortiz. I am 16 years old. I am in eighth grade. I attend school in the afternoon because I work in the morning. I help a lady to serve homemade food. I also help my mom with her business by selling tortillas. I like going to the field on weekends in the afternoon. My favorite food is beans with cream. Thankfully, my siblings and I are in good health. As for my mom, let me tell you that she suffers from her gallbladder. She is taking painkillers to mitigate the pain. She must undergo surgery, but she does not want to do it because she is worried about my siblings and me. She is the only one who supports our family economically.

I trust in the Lord and know He is working on our family. I would love to count on your prayers for my whole family, especially for my mom. In advance, thank you so much! We have attended St. Pablo Catholic Church for many years. We accepted Jesus as our Savior there. It is a blessing to listen to the gospel from the LW staff. A member of the AAC team prayed and encouraged us to seek God more. I am glad to be part of this project because I have medical and dental care for free. I got vitamins recently. I have noticed that the staff serves with kindness. It would be great to learn from them how to serve at LW. I received a Christmas gift last year. I enjoy listening to Jesus’ birth story the most. I say goodbye to you for now, but I send you my best wishes.
