My Story

Hello! I greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are doing great! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Ebenezer Church; we go on Fridays and Sundays. We appreciate so much the encouraging words that LW staff gave us because it is important for our spiritual life. I am so thankful to God because my family and I are healthy. My mother is Monica Lorena Serrano, and she is 48 years old. She is a housewife. My father is Ricardo Otoniel Cruz Flores, and he is 51 years old. He works as an accountant in our village; he supplies the family needs. We have two dogs as a pet.

My name is Jomira Abigail Cruz Serrano, and I am 17 years old. This year I was in 11th grade, which is the second year of my career in training in Biological Sciences. My classes were at school, but it was still hard for me to comprehend the lessons. Since my father is the only one who covers the home and school expenses, it is hard for him because of a lack of resources. The language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. My dream is to continue with my studies to graduate as a pediatrician. I love drinking water because it is healthy. What I like at Christmas is getting new clothes, and my family gets together; we have a joyful time on those days. I enjoy spending my birthday with my family, and my mother prepares “Pepian” (a typical Guatemalan dish); they make me feel so special. I am so blessed to be part of the feeding program from Living Water. I appreciate the support; the food and medical care for free means a great blessing for my family and me. At the moment, we are in need of groceries. Take care. May God bless you abundantly!

Best wishes,

Jomira Abigail Cruz Serrano
