My name is Mayra Alejandra Lorenzana Aguilar, and it is a pleasure for me to greet you through this. I am fourteen years old. This year I am attending third grade. I am receiving study guides, so I connect online twice a week, and I hand in my homework the day I go to school every week. Socializing with other children at school is difficult to me, for I am a shy person. The thing I missed a lot from the feeding program was listening to the Bible teachings. For me to get there, it takes ten minutes away from home by walking. To earn a living, my dad does masonry work, and my mom cooks meals in a place where food is sold. They both work hard to provide for our household expenses. We do not usually go somewhere because of work, so dinner is the time we can get together, talk, share and have a nice time. We do not usually celebrate Christmas due to the lack of resources. We are attending Christian Church, so we get there in fifteen minutes. The time the church was closed due to the pandemic, I missed a lot attending it, for we could not get together and see our brethren there. We rent three-room house made of cement block, terrace roof and ceramic floor. We cook our meals within a room. The house condition is good.
During the pandemic there was lack of work for my parents, so it affected my family’s economy. Food supplies and money to pay the rent of the house is a greatest need at home. For that reason, I thank to the feeding program for the grocery bags we received in those difficult moments we went through. It met some food needs of my family and me. I would appreciate your prayers for us to not have lack of work to get money to pay the rent of the house. Thank you for your prayers. I also pray God for you to be blessed. Currently, we are all doing well, thanks to God. Finally, I want you to know, I gave this information to an Evangelism team member who visited us at home to share with you my last news. I say good bye to you for now. Hope to hear from you soon.
