My Story

I am Mayra Alejandra, I am 13 years old and I am living along with my parents and siblings. I am not attending school due to the pandemic situation and maybe next year, I will attend school. For now, I help my mother with the chores at home. My father earns a living as a bricklayer and he is the one who supplies our family needs. On the other hand, my mother does the household work.

I want to let you know that a member of the AAC team called my older brother, Saul Lorenzana by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. Let me tell you that the covid-19 pandemic came to affect my father´s job since there is a shortage of work. Thank God, during the hardest months of the pandemic, we received support from my school and through Living Water / Adopt A Child. We have seen God´s faithfulness in our lives since we have had our food at home. We are deeply thankful for all the support that we received because my father is the only one who works and sometimes, he does not have the resources to cover all our needs. So, we give thanks to you and the LW staff who have been delivering the help for children. Thank God, the covid-19 has not been affected us so far. Nevertheless, I want you to pray for my father who suffers from high blood pressure, and fortunately, he is already under medical treatment. We attend Restoration Church on Wednesday and Friday and we follow the biosecurity measures against the virus. I say good-bye to you for now. Many blessings!

Lots of love,

Mayra Alejandra Lorenzana Aguilar
