My Story

Hello! This is Mellany Jeraly Dayana Ochoa Moran, and I am pleased to share my news for 2025 with you. I hope you find my letter engaging. I am 18 years old and I enjoy watching movies and reading the bible when I gather with my best friend, Darlyn. We have been good friends for nine years. Fortunately, I am a healthy girl. I am in ninth grade. When I stay home, I help my mother take care of my young siblings. I want to open my heart and tell you that when my parents separated, I felt sorrowful. They separated some years ago. That was a very impactful experience, but I have looked for the Almighty in prayer. Since then, He has strengthened me.

Today, I love Jesus because He is my Savior and everything. I attend a Christian Church called Restauration. My family and I do our best to attend all the services. I live with my mother and two brothers. I admire my mother because I have seen her effort. She is my moral support. She makes a living by cleaning offices. Please pray for her. Most of the time, she worries about our economic situation because there are many expenses to cover, such as the rent of our house and school supplies for my siblings and me. About my father, let me tell you that he works as a tuk-tuk taxi driver and sends us Q800=$106.66 monthly by a judge’s order. To end this letter, I want you to know that a member of the LW staff encouraged my mother and me to continue trusting in God.
