My Story

It is a tremendous blessing to write this letter to you. My name is Adriana Casilda Del Aguila Maldonado, and I want to tell you a little about my life. I am 16 years old, and I am enrolled in seventh grade again. My best friend’s name is Luis. We have been friends since we were children. We occasionally gather to discuss our lives. One of the happiest moments I have had was taking part in a rhythmic gymnastics group at the national gymnastics federation in Guatemala. I am sure God gave me the talent and cared for me at that lovely stage of my life. I have learned that Jesus is God’s son, who lovingly created me. Luckily, my whole family and I are healthy. I identify with my mom because she is kind. She listens to me and advises me when I need it the most. She is my role model.

My mom works in the customer service area at a bakery to support my siblings and me. As you know, my father left my family and me many years ago. He is in the United States, but I have no idea what he does for a living. However, he occasionally helps us a little bit financially. My oldest sister and I are grateful to LW because a member of the staff shared the gospel and encouraged us to seek the Lord. We do not attend a church at the moment, but we trust in God. We are close and support each other. We are grateful for all the benefits we can receive from LW. We pray that God rewards each person who blesses many families like ours through this organization.
