Child
I fondly greet you, hoping that the grace of the Lord be with you! I am grateful to God for allowing me to share a little bit about my life with you. First, I want to express my gratitude to LW-Adopt A Child for blessing each child and teenager like me. My mother and I pray that God blesses each person that trusts in this organization and supports the labor they do. My full name is Wilson Ramiro Gomez Garcia, and I have attended the feeding program for about eleven years. I am glad to participate in the Bible classes because they help me to discern about what God wants from me.
I am 16 years old and I attend the eleventh grade at school. This is my second year of a professional career in marketing and advertising. Between cold and hot weather, I prefer cold because I do not like to sweat. Thankfully, I am in good health. I usually help my mother with the chores since she has not felt well lately. Unfortunately, she suffers from diabetes, has problems with her kidneys, and has an ulcer. Therefore, she has not been working. I used to sell products in the market on weekends to help her a little economically. Nevertheless, I no longer continue because my education level is demanding and keeps me busy doing homework.
We have been passing through a hard economic situation, but we trust that God has not left us alone and will help us to go ahead. She has a small space in the market that she uses to use to sell her products. Currently, she rents that space to support my education and bring a little food home. However, it is not enough to cover her treatment (neurobion, lyrica, and gliclazide). She usually buys generic medicine because the original is expensive. Besides chemical treatment, she has added a natural beverage to her diet made of aloe vera and flaxseed to mitigate the issues of the ulcer; fortunately, it has worked well.
I tell you that we started to attend a Christian Church called Rock of Salvation. We feel motivated to go there because of the communion. What we enjoy the most is the worship time. Brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) recently prayed and encouraged us to keep going despite ups and downs of life. That was a blessed time that we really appreciate. We trust that we are saved and will be admitted into Heaven because we are God’s children and received Jesus into our hearts. This is all for now, but I kindly ask you to pray for my mother and wisdom for me. Thank you so much for having taken the time to read my information.
Sincerely yours,
Wilson Ramiro Gomez Garcia
