My Story

Kind regards from Zone 5, Guatemala City! My full name is Carlos Jeremias Uluan Herrarte and I am pleased to share with you a little about my life through this letter. I am 15 years old and I am doing my best at school as a ninth-grade student. I am so happy for being part of the feeding program because I have been able to listen to the good messages during the Bible lessons for ten years. May God continue being the center of this organization. I pray that all the staff receives bountiful blessings every day! Thankfully, I am in good health. I prefer hot rather than cold weather because I like taking cold showers, which relaxes me a lot. I kindly ask you to continue praying for my father, who recently traveled with one of my uncles to look for a stable job in Quiche, a department located in the northwest of our country. While he is there, my mother covers my needs with the income that she gets from her business. While she sells fruits in the market, I usually clean our house and help her a little to sell her products.

Despite suffering from hypertension, she is doing well. We are glad to be part of Mount Hebron Church because of the unity and love you can feel there. Brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel and asked my mother why God should allow her to get into Heaven. Her answer was that she received salvation through Jesus, who adopted her as a daughter, and now, she does her best to serve him. It is time to say goodbye, but if you want to know something else about my life, feel free to ask me.
