My Story

I hope you are having a blessed day with your lovely family! Praise the Lord my family and I attend God is Good Church; we go on Sundays and Wednesdays. We are quite well at home; however, my mother suffers from diabetes; fortunately, she takes her medicines. My mother is Elvira de Jesus Quinteros de Paz, and she is 49 years old. She is a street vendor and has a small store at home to get income and supply our needs. I also help her to sell to get more income. My father is Carlos Enrique Lopez Rodriguez, and he is 48 years old. However, he does not live with us because he has an alcohol problem, and my mother thought it was not right to continue living with him. Our pet is a dog.

I am Keren Nicole, and I am an 18-year-old girl. I am in 12th grade, and this is my last year of my professional career in accounting. Even though I receive classes at school now, it is still difficult for me to comprehend the lessons. I appreciate the hard work my mother does to support me at school; she does not have a good job and is doing her best for our family. My dream is to continue with my studies and become an auditor in the future. The English language catches my attention, and I would like to learn how to speak it. I get so happy when my birthday comes; my mother invites me to eat Chinese food, and it is the meal I love; it is very special for me. I wait anxiously for Christmas time; I meet up with my relatives and have a joyful time together. My favorite drink is coffee. Swimming is the sport I like the most. I am so grateful to Living Water for providing me with tasty meals and medical care in the clinics; it is a great blessing for me and my family. We have received support and encouraging words through the program, and we are sure that God is watching over us all the time. The greatest needs are school supplies. Well, this is all for now. Every blessing for you!

With much love,

Keren Nicole Lopez Quinteros
